Jessica Alba
Jessica Marie Alba has quickly become one of the hottest
female properties in showbiz. Her career has slowly gained
momentum since the age of 12, when Jessica took her first
acting class.
After a period of nine months, Jessica had signed on with
an agent and landed her first role in the 1994 film Camp Nowhere.
Alba was fortunate when the lead in the film dropped out and
producers decided to use her because she had the same color
hair.
Jessica landed her first television series role playing as
Jessica in The Secret World of Alex Mack. Her character on
the show was the snobbish adversary of Alex Mack, who was
played by Larisa Oleynik. Her role lasted until 1995, a year
which also included a series role as Maya Graham in the remake
of the 60's version of the show centered around a dolphin.
Alba was lucky enough to film the first season of the show
in Australia in a role that lasted until 1996. Later that
year Alba joined the cast of Chicago Hope for an episode playing
Maria.
Jessica's post television series roles found her return to
film, where she was cast in a number of films. Later in 1996,
Jessica starred with Freddie Prinze Jr. in the made for TV
movie Too Soon For Jeff, where she played as a pregnant teenager
in a difficult relationship. While not being seen much in
1997, the following year brought the role of Samantha Swaboda
in P.U.N.K.S. featuring Randy Quaid, which is generally regarded
as an awful movie. Jessica took the same year to cameo in
Brooklyn South, Beverly Hills, 90210, and The Love Boat: The
Next Wave. Alba bounced back from P.U.N.K.S. in 1999 by playing
Kirsten Liosis in the acclaimed Never Been Kissed, which starred
Drew Barrymore. Later that year she starred in a larger role
in Idle Hands, playing Molly in a comedy horror flick where
a boy's right hand becomes possessed with murderous intent.
For those looking for Jessica nude, unfortunately, underwear
scenes are the best you can do for now in Idle Hands. If Jessica
follows her peers Sarah Michelle Gellar and Jennifer Love
Hewitt, don't look for nudity in her upcoming film roles anytime
soon.
Jessica broke out in 2000 when James Cameron, the Academy
Award winning producer of Titanic tapped her to star in Dark
Angel, his FOX television series about a genetically enhanced
human prototype who escaped her military handlers as a child
who lives in a dreary, futuristic version of Seattle named
Max Guevara. The series got off to a controversial start as
FOX decided to run the season premiere opposite of the Presidential
Debates, leading many too question the integrity of the network.
The move certainly paid off for the show though, as it received
huge ratings which have helped the series off to a much better
start than the last FOX series to star a high profile female
sex symbol, Jennifer Love Hewitt.
Jennifer Love Hewitt. Her role in Dark Angel also has landed
her in the tabloids, where reports are swarming that she's
openly canoodling on the set with co-star Michael Weatherly,
who plays Logan Cale (who isn't wheelchair bound in real life).
A source revealed to Star magazine "They started flirting
and exchanging provocative comments, and one thing led to
another." While some question the 13 year age different
between the two, others point to his shotgun wedding to a
co-star, Amelia Heinie, in his former series role in the daytime
soap Loving, which resulted in a quick divorce as they share
a 4 year old son.
When Entertainment Tonight questioned Weatherly about it,
Jessica snuck into the interview area to motion towards licking
his ear, which followed Weatherly's request to do the remainder
of the interview in French. Whatever the case, Alba said in
the same interview that she isn't looking to settle down with
anyone, and doesn't plan on motherhood at least until her
late 20s. Lest people fear the young Jessica will be hurt
by Weatherly, Alba did tell Maxim her rules of dating include
not to give it up too soon as well as not giving your heart
too soon, so it looks like this girl can take care of herself.
